2. The race will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2001 -2004, the Rules of the International 470 Class, the International laser Class, the opimist class and the Sailing Instructions.
3. The classes eligible for the regatta will be the laser (standard and radial, minimum 10 radials), the 470 and the optimist.
4. Competitors shall register in advance by completing the official entry form enclosed and mailing it with the appropriate fees to:

5. The event is designated Category A and grade 2 for the world sailing rankings.
6. The scoring system will be the low point system.
7. A judge will have power disqualification for an infringement of rule 42 without a hearing, however, rule 67 of the racing rules of sailing is modified so that a disqualification under this rule will be a discard if sufficient races are sailed to allow discards.
8. The 470 international class will provide free for all competitors on 21st and 22nd February.
9. All laser class sails will be subject to measurement and equipment subject to inspection.
10. The sailing instructions will be available at registration.
11. Entries should be received by DSA before 10th February 2002. Entries received after this date will be dealt with subject to boat availability.
12. The course will be trapezoidal as detailed in the Sailing Instructions.

14. The number of prizes may vary dependant
on the number of entries.
15. All competitors agree to be bound by the
Racing rules of sailing and all other rules governing the event.
16. The DSA, race committee, officers, staff,
members and volunteer helpers accept no
liability for loss of life or property, personal
injury or damage caused or arising from the
event. Entrants accept this as a condition of
registration. Competitors are solely
responsible for the dingy they are sailing.
