Doha Sailing Association was founded in 1959 and is authorised by the Government of the Satate of Qatar and permitted by the Youth and Sports Authority. The membership is multi national and affiliations are held with the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), RYA, 470,Optimist, & Laser International Classes Associations.

The Doha Sailing Association organizes the Qatar International Regatta for 470, , & laser classes " SAIL THE GULF" which is designated as Grade II by ISAF World Ranking Sailing Event; for Entry Form please visit SAIL THE GULF

Also, in 1996 the DSA hosted ; the "1st ASIAN 470 CHAMPIONSHIP", the "WORLD MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP", and has been nominated to host the "470 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP" in 2002.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Doha Sailing Association is located on Ras Abu Abboud Street, between the Sheraton Gulf and Oasis Hotels. The Clubhouse is open throughout the week each day From: 10:00 hrs Until : 18:00 hrs .
Racing is organised on most Thursday and Friday afternoons throughout the year with a break during July and August. Showers, lounge, library and cofee bar as well as beach facilities and full social programme are available for members and their families.There are many deferent classes : 470, Laser, Windsurfing, Catamarans, and Optimists.
